Mike has a crush on Sasha; he makes plans to get together with her and work on a school project. The “bad day” video shows the wrong way to approach Sasha, and the “good day” shows the right way to make plans with a peer at school.

Sometimes teenagers with Aspergers and Autism have trouble identifying and understanding relationships. The objective of this discussion is to be able to identify and define the different types of relationships demonstrated in the video, and in your family member’s life. In this part of the video your family member should be able to determine if Sasha and Mike are friends, acquaintances, or strangers, and to decide if their relationship can change over time.

Included in your free sample social skills lesson are:

Booklet – The part of the discussion guide that talks about understanding relationships.

Video – The video demonstrates what behavior is okay and what is not okay, when you have a crush on someone with whom you’re working on a school project.
